As the most important tool for LNG land transportation, LNG tank trucks have been widely used because of their flexibility and economy. At present, there are two main types of liquefied gas tankers used in China: LNG semi-trailer tankers and LNG container tankers.
LNG storage tanks (low temperature storage tanks) are part of LNG transport vehicles and belong to LNG storage equipment. LNG storage tanks are special: large-capacity LNG storage tanks operate at ultra-low temperature (-162 °C). Compared with other petrochemical storage tanks, it has its particularity. At the same time, during operation, since the stored LNG is in a boiling state, when external heat is intruded, or due to impact and atmospheric pressure changes during filling, the stored LNG will be continuously vaporized into a gas, and the storage tank must be considered for this operation. Control of internal pressure, extraction and treatment of gasification gas, and refrigeration and cooling. In addition, accessories such as safety valves, liquid level gauges, thermometers, and expansion joints for inlet and outlet pipes of LNG storage tanks must also be resistant to low temperatures. The safety device of the tank must also be able to start reliably at low temperature and low pressure.
Principle of LNG transportation
After the LNG is transported from the gas source to the LNG gas supply station in the gas city by the road tank truck or the tank container truck, the tank tank is boosted to 0.6 MPa by using the air temperature booster gasifier on the tank truck (or The unloading pressurized gasifier installed in the station boosts the tank container truck). At the same time, the pressure of the storage tank is reduced to about 0.4 MPa, so that a pressure difference of about 0.2 MPa is formed between the tank truck and the LNG storage tank, and the LNG in the tank truck is discharged into the storage tank of the gas supply station by using the pressure difference. At the end of the unloading, the natural gas in the tanker is recovered through the dumper gas line.
LNG transport body
The liquefied natural gas LNG transportation carrier is a liquefied natural gas tanker and a tank container. The main structure of the two is basically the same. The tank container is mainly used for multimodal transportation to facilitate the loading and unloading of the tank. The products produced by professional LNG transport tankers and tank container manufacturers are in accordance with the Pressure Vessel Safety Technical Supervision Regulations, Low Temperature Insulation Pressure Vessels (GB 18442 -2001), and LNG Tank Containers (JB/T4780-2002). ) and so on. The tank body is a high-vacuum multi-layer insulation tank. The heat insulation performance directly determines the pressure inside the tank. If the heat insulation performance is not good, the pressure inside the tank is unstable, which will seriously affect the safety of transportation.
The structural analysis of the LNG tanker found that the safety hazard mainly lies in the presence of a large number of valves and joints in the rear operating box, such as safety valves, liquid valves, vent valves, etc. These valves are directly connected to the tank, if which If there is a problem with the valve, it may cause leakage of LNG.
LNG transportation handling
The unloading is the LNG transporter pressurizing the transport vehicle through the supercharger, so that the LNG is transported from the transport vehicle through the discharge pipe of the transport vehicle to the outer storage tank.
LNG transport trucks can also be loaded and unloaded without a supercharger, using a cryopump.
